NAU is located in Flagstaff which is a very beautiful place to live. There are NAU sponsored events that take place almost every weekend so there is always something to do if you're ever bored. The professors are very kind and understanding. They really want to see you succeed! The only downfall would be campus living where the management can be lacking. Overall, it is a great place to go to school with many opportunities for extracurricular activities!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at NAU and am excited to continue my education there in the fall to pursue a master's degree in Climate Science. Located in the safe, picturesque community of Flagstaff, AZ, NAU has a balance of both on-campus and off-campus activities and events. Throughout my time at NAU, I created new friendships, interacted with other students through courses and clubs, and managed to secure a part-time on-campus job. If I were to suggest an improvement, it would be regarding the housing situation and the traffic. Flagstaff is still relatively small, so having tens of thousands of people living there is difficult. Thankfully I did not drive often and was able to find housing relatively easily, however I know that this is a struggle for some. Overall, my experience at NAU was positive and I highly recommend the university.

Attending Northern Arizona University is very different than anything I have experienced before. The school offers a lot of diversity, there are always different activities to get involved in, and I like the area of Flagstaff although the snow can sometimes make things difficult but that is expected. The professors are okay, but I have had experiences both good and bad so it just depends. The housing on campus is not great, there are limited options and some are not very nice.
